Music & entertainment

Your style and event setting will help determine the type of music you choose for the ceremony and reception.

There are not really any significant environmental considerations for music. The main criteria is simply to help your guests to relax, socialise and for everyone to have lots of fun.

Firstly do a rough plan of the day and work out the occasions for music and songs you would like. Include walking down the aisle, signing the registry, leaving the ceremony, entering the reception, cutting the cake, the first dance, dancing generally and the last dance.

If your event has an earthy, natural flavour, you can look for musicians from local folk and world music festivals. Or approach a musician that you have enjoyed listening to in a restaurant or bar.
